Poirier Agnes

Agnes Catherine Poirier (born 1975) is a French anglophile journalist. Born in Paris, she has lived and worked in London since the mid-1990s, initially as a doctoral student at the London School of Economics. She has worked as a radio producer for Radio France.She writes for Le Nouvel Observateur, and Le Monde and her work in English has featured in The Guardian, The Times and The Independent on Sunday. She is also a correspondent for Marianne, La Vie and the Italian L'Espresso. Between 2001-6 she was a film critic for Liberation. She advises the Cannes Film Festival about British films. She is currently (2015) a regular panel member of the British Broadcasting Corporation's Dateline London public affairs television discussion programme.
